Studio Policies
We are a family at the Studio of Piano by Pam and as such have very few rules beyond the Golden Rule. If we are kind and help one another as much as possible, things will run smoothly. Below you will find the remaining policies of the Studio of Piano by Pam.
Private:
30-minute lesson $120 monthly fee
45-minute lesson $180 monthly fee
1.00-hour lesson $240 monthly fee
1.25-hour lesson $300 monthly fee
1.50-hour lesson $360 monthly fee

Payment Schedule: Twelve equal monthly payments are to be made during the year for the 44 lessons which are given. Monthly payments are due at the first lesson of each month. Checks payable to “Pam Brunson” and cash are accepted.
Late Fee: After the 10th of the month, a $25 late fee will be assessed. If a family is occasionally unable to pay before that time, they may speak with Ms. Brunson to make arrangements. Payments after the first lesson of the month but before the 10th or late payments, may be mailed to:

Returned Checks: There will be a returned check charge of $29.
Studio Closure: The studio will be closed for two weeks during the Christmas holidays and again for two weeks during June. Ms. Brunson’s personal two vacation weeks and two weeks of sick leave will be taken upon her need or at her discretion. She will provide as much advance notice as possible.
Absences: Lessons missed for illness or family emergency can be made up at the parents’ request. However, because a student would have to be brought to two lessons in one week, the second lesson is usually only an enforced practice session. Most families find this too hard or are too busy to work this out. Lessons missed for any other reason, however, are forfeited. This includes school functions, other appointments, vacations, etc.
Required Books: Students/parents are responsible for purchasing books except for the very first primer level books which Ms. Brunson keeps on hand as a courtesy for new beginning students. The cost for any books Ms. Brunson purchases for the student should be reimbursed upon acceptance.
The studio usually follows District 38 closures for snow days. Lessons will be rescheduled to another day as the teacher has availability. Students may partake of the makeup lessons as they choose.
If you wish to discontinue lessons, please notify Ms. Brunson at least two weeks before the end of the month. She reserves the right to terminate lessons with a student for matters of conduct, failure to maintain a good work ethic or other breaches of rules.
•Siblings are welcome to attend provided they remain quiet and do not create distractions.
•All materials must be brought to each lesson.
•Students are asked to wash and dry their hands before sitting at the piano.
•All shoes should be removed upon entering the house.
